As a kid I loved getting up before dawn to go fishing with my grandfather. I can still see the early light, the water and feel stillness in the air. I continue to search for that feeling in my photography.
I was born and raised in the corn belt of Ohio. I studied graphic design and painting and moved to Atlanta in 1979 where my love of the South took root. I started a design studio and I was lucky that my clients had me working around the world over the next 30 years where I always had a camera in hand, always planning to find the perfect light. This collection is the first of three and closest to my heart, every scene is attached to my wonderful, patient family. Dedicated to my wife Jenifer and my kids Michael, Nate, Gabe and Paulina.
